Dennis McGrath became interested in photography when he began skateboarding in the mid 80’s. He studied photo at the San Francisco Art Institute in 1994 where he took a more serious interest. He started working as a freelance photographer in 1995 shooting for most major skateboard publications. Over the past two years he has been working on a photo documentary about a porno director in the San Fernando Valley. Some of this work was featured in the Bay Area Now 4 exhibition at Yerba Buena Center For The Arts in San Francisco. He lives between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
